In 2012, the Danish wind industry maintained its activity levels compared to the two prior years. Globally, the Danish industry holds a quarter of the total global turnover.

In 2012 the Danish wind industry exports saw a minor drop to 51.9 billion DKK (7 billion EUR) compared to 53.6 billion DKK (7.2 billion EUR) in 2011.

The Danish and Global market

The global market grew by 44.8 GW to a cumulative capacity of 282 GW by the end of 2012. This development was driven by USA and China (29.3 percent and 28.9 percent of the total MW installed).
