In 2014, the Danish wind industry increased its activities significantly compared to the prior years. Globally, not including China, the Danish industry holds almost 40 per cent of the total global market for new grid connections of wind energy.
In 2014 the Danish wind industry exports saw a significant increase 53,5 billion DKK (7.18 billion EUR) compared to 45.8 billion DKK (6.15 billion EUR) in 2013.
The Global market in 2014
The global market grew by almost 51 GW to a cumulative capacity of 369.5 GW by the end of 2014. This development was driven by China, Germany and the US (respectively 45.2 percent, 10.2 and 9.4 percent of the total MW installed).
