| The weight of the glider pulls it towards the ground. It is the force of gravity pulling at the glider. Yet the glider does not drop. It keeps on flying sometimes for hours! |

| When gravity is pulling glider down, there must be some other force pulling it upwards so it can stay in the air. |
That force has to be just as powerful as gravity otherwise the glider would fall down! |
