E.ON gets to build Rødsand II (2008-04-29)
Swedish E.ON AB has won the concession to build the 200 MW offshore wind farm at Rødsand II. E.ON won with a bit in 62.9 Dk. øre per. kWh in 50.000 full load hours. This corresponds to electricity production for about 14 years.

Senate Passed One Year Extension of Production Tax Credit (2008-04-11)
the United States Senate overwhelmingly approved an amendment from Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and John Ensign (R-NV) to add the Clean Energy Stimulus Act, which provides for a one-year extension of the Production Tax Credit (PTC) to the Senate's housing bill.
Wind turbine collapse under investigation (2008-02-27)
Following two unrelated wind turbine accidents Vestas now initiates a full investigation of the events. It seems both events were due to human errors in service and maintenance.
