About us

The Danish Wind Industry Association (DWIA) is a non-profit association whose purpose is to promote wind energy at home and abroad.

The association was founded in 1981. DWIA today represents 99.9 per cent of Danish wind turbine manufacturing measured in MW and more than 180 companies with activities in the Danish wind industry.

We publish information about wind energy, including this web site. Printed publications include our annual report. We are also engaged in advocacy. See our news section and policy section for more details.

The association is a member of the European Wind Energy Association, EWEA.
