Deif A/S
At DEIF, we develop and produce electronic devices for control and monitoring of electricity-producing facilities such as power plants, wind turbines, emergency power generating units etc.
Especially within renewable energy and other energy production methods, the development has resulted in intensive innovation within the energy sector on a worldwide scale. Being suppliers to the power industry, we are therefore seeing huge growth and product innovation. During the coming years, many small decentralised power plants using new technology will be built in order meet requirements for reduced carbon dioxide emissions. And the need for energy is increasing simultaneously all over the world. Furthermore, DEIF is in a leading position within marine bridge instrumentation, and we have many years of experience within production of switchboard instrumentation. Our headquarters and factory are situated in Skive, Denmark . We have subsidiaries in Germany, the UK, Norway, China, Brazil and USA , and we have a global distributor network, which is constantly developing.
Product development and planning of power plant controls are important parts of DEIF’s work and keep many engineers employed. Our jobs are very international, and the DEIF engineers have a very wide contact to customers and suppliers all over the world. Moreover, being a DEIF engineer involves a certain amount of traveling activity, e.g. in connection with commencement of power plant operations. We organise most of our work in cross-organisational projects, where employees from the entire organisation participate in solving a certain task. Key issues within the managerial style at DEIF include a flat organisational structure and delegation of jobs, and you will soon be in charge of the projects or specialist fields you deal with.
We are committed to efficient HR management, and we have a flexible attitude towards working hours, a policy for working from home, an open-minded information policy etc. All employees are offered job appraisal reviews and competence clarification courses at regular intervals. Here, supplementary training and education and other types of personal development are discussed and agreed.
Normally, DEIF has a couple of students attached in connection with internships or exam projects. In many cases, we have suggested projects ourselves, but students are always very welcome to contact us to discuss specific projects.
