The Danish Wind Industry Association Talent Award
In 2006 DWIA instigated the Talent Prize, which will be given to a young professional employed in one of the association companies.
In 2007, the talent prize was presented to Anders Nyborg, 28, Leader of the Control Department at Vestas Wind Systems A/S. Anders Nyborg was educated 3 years a go at Aalborg University. He has so fare had a storming career in the industry, and has shown the potential to go even further.
“When I finished my education I had no doubt that I wanted to work with development of new technology. The wind power industry offers unique opportunities I that field. It gives you the chance to work with a very complex technology constantly trying to optimize the final product”, says Anders Nyborg.
To win The Talent Award you must have demonstrated your talent in your particular field of work and must show your potential for further growth in your field. The field may be as a specialist, a project manager or in line management, but leadership potential is a prerequisite. As a rule of thumb, the person must demonstrate potential for jumping two career steps within the next 3-4 years.
All member companies may nominate 1 or more person for the talent prize. All nominated candidates will be judged by a jury from the companies behind The Talent Factory.
