Suzlon Energy A/S - a formidable player in a high-growth market

Suzlon Energy is the world's fifth largest WTG supplier (based on annual installations) with proven technology and cost advantage, and the first wind energy manufacturer to launch the MW and multi MW series wind turbines in Asia with successful commissioning of the 1 MW, 1.25 MW and 2.1 MW WTG’s.

Suzlon Energy's ability to deliver end-to-­end solutions to a large fragmented customer base across seven states has enabled it to capitalize on the emerging opportunities in wind power. Having established its business model in India, Suzlon Energy is now increasing resources to aggressively target the world markets.

Engineering Staff

Suzlon Energy has development facilities in Aarhus, Denmark, Rostock, Germany, Hengeloo, Holland and in Pune, India. Denmark is the international headquarters of Suzlon, and e.g. the design of Suzlon SCADA system takes place there. Furthermore, an innovation centre will be established in Denmark with the focus of wind turbines and associated technologies of tomorrow. The Danish innovation centre will focus on concepts for building wind turbines and research in alternative technology and materials and will employ up to 150 people.

Suzlon Energy A/S has chosen to play an active role in the Talent Factory to develop a close relationship with engineering students and graduates. Suzlon Energy will require highly skilled engineers to establish and develop the innovation centre and to handle all the engineering challenges at the international headquarters.
