Visit an offshore wind farm in Denmark
The Talent Factory and Creative Offshore Challenge 2008 would like to invite engineering students and educators on a free visit to Lillgrund offshore turbine park on May 6th.
The trip will take you close to the 48 turbines which were installed in the fall of 2007. Each turbine have got a capacity of 2,3 MW with a rotor diameter of 93 m and a total height of 115 m. Read more about Lillgrund offshore park on: www.vattenfall.se/lillgrund/ (In Swedish only).

Summer School in Wind Turbine Technology 10th – 22nd August 2008
Are you interested in getting a special insight into Wind Turbine Technology together with other Danish and international students in your summer holidays?
In cooperation with the wind power industry in Denmark, the Engineering College of Aarhus offer a Summer School with focus on Wind Turbine Technology.
The purpose of the Summer School is to enable you to apply your engineering competences to Wind Turbine Technology challenges, and to gain an insight into the functions of the turbines and the interaction between the different sub-components and their demand profiles.
Throughout the Summer School, you will be working creatively in teams across the different engineering disciplines and an international environment.The lessons will be conducted in English.
Free participation
Participation in the Summer School is free - sponsored by companies in the wind turbine industry and the Engineering College of Aarhus. Deadline for application is the 15th of May 2008.
